Magic Under the Redwoods
“We recently completed a major 4+ month yard remodel following the landscape design of [landscape] architect Gonzalo Mannucci of Planetscaper, and we could not be more thrilled with the results. The execution of his design work took a full crew working five days a week, this was an enormous project and our contractor was able to follow Gonzalo’s design and vision without any issues. Gonzalo exceeded every expectation from start to finish in his design work. He transformed our once-unusable yard into a true Redwood tree paradise, complete with an expansive deck, [...], a beautiful play space for our grandkids, and thoughtfully designed pathways and plantings throughout. When Gonzalo first stepped in, the yard was a mix of debris, rocks, gravel, sand, old tree trunks, and broken cement. We hardly walked out there. Today, it feels like we live in our own private park.
Although this review is coming after the design was completed in June 2025, we wanted to wait until the full vision came to life—and it is nothing short of amazing. The lighting on our nine Redwood trees brings the entire space alive at night, the plants he selected blend beautifully with the natural surroundings, and every detail—from the water feature to the boulders to the layout of the deck—feels intentional and perfectly executed.
We even have neighbors stopping us in front of our home to say how stunning the landscaping is and how it has improved the entire neighborhood.
Beyond his exceptional design skills, Gonzalo was truly a pleasure to work with. He is patient, creative, friendly, honest, and incredibly thoughtful in how he presents ideas. We would recommend him without hesitation to all our family and friends and would absolutely work with him again.

A typical consultation is one hour in duration. Fee: $250.00 payable the day of the visit.
