A California Native Landscape that’s a Pollinator Haven and Slows Water
Our design for this Concord, CA residence features native plants and dry creeks to capture water onsite. The plant palette is low water and low maintenance. The planting areas consist of 80% CA native plants and 20% food plants. Non-native, ornamental plants are featured in containers. The site captures 90% of all rainwater which falls on the roof and ground, in two dry creeks, to slow water, maintain it on site for use by the plants, and allow more of it to percolate into the ground water table. Our designs included hardscape, full-color spectrum lighting, planting, draining, grading, retaining walls and fencing.
